Please note that the Rescue does NOT rehome dogs to families with children under 8 years of age in the best interests of the dogs.


Membership

By joining the Southern Shih Tzu Rescue and paying your subscription of £5.00 (per person) you are not only showing your concern about the Shih Tzu's in our care but will receive our twice-yearly newsletter, Forepaws, which gives details of up and coming events and also recent rescue stories and 'happy ending'stories!

Fostering, Volunteering, Homechecking

By helping us directly, we can find the right homes for our rescue dogs much more quickly, and get them away from unsafe situations and into our care (and their new homes) as soon as possible.

Sweep was 12 years old, in poor shape & virtually blind & deaf...

when he was brought to 'Rescue Mum' Sue, courtesy of the Essex Police because he was found wandering on a main A-road and was lucky not to have been killed.
